PITLAB Inc. (hereinafter “the Company”) recognizes the importance of protecting customers’ personal information, complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter “the Personal Information Protection Act”), and, in accordance with this Privacy Policy (“this Policy”), endeavors to appropriately handle and safeguard personal information.

Article 1 – Definition of Personal Information

    In this Privacy Policy, “Personal Information” means the information defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Information Protection Act—i.e., information about a living individual that can identify a specific person by name, date of birth, or other description (including information that can be easily collated with other information to identify a specific individual), or information containing an individual identification code.

Article 2 – Purpose of Use of Personal Information

    The Company uses customers’ personal information for the following purposes:
    (1). Registration of customer information and opening of accounts for this Service
    (2). Analysis of customers’ use of this Service to ensure smooth operation
    (3). Customer identity verification
    (4). Prevention of unauthorized use
    (5). Preparation of statistical data in a form that does not identify individuals
    (6). Monitoring and analyzing application usage for Service operation and management
    (7). Improvement of Service levels
    (8). Responding to customer inquiries and providing customer support
    (9). Notification of information about this Service and other advertising information from the Company or third-party advertisers
    (10). Conducting surveys about the Company or other businesses
    (11). Planning and offering new initiatives related to this Service
    (12). Data management and ensuring the security of customer information
    (13). Sending important notices concerning this Service as necessary
    (14). Other purposes deemed necessary by the Company under separate terms of use related to this Service
    (15). Purposes incidental to the foregoing

Article 3 – Change of Purpose of Use

    The Company may change the purpose of use of personal information within a scope reasonably related to the original purpose. If such a change occurs, the Company will notify or publicly announce customers of the revised purpose.

Article 4 – Security Management of Personal Information

    The Company will exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over its employees to ensure the secure management of personal information against risks such as loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage. If the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to a contractor, it will likewise supervise the contractor as necessary and appropriate to ensure secure management of the information.

Article 5 – Provision of Personal Information, etc.

    The Company will not provide customers’ personal information, etc. to any third party without prior consent, except in cases required by law or in the following circumstances:
    (1). The customer has given prior consent
    (2). There is sufficient evidence that disclosure is necessary to protect the Company’s rights, property, or services due to a customer’s violation of the Service Terms
    (3). Disclosure is necessary to protect human life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain the customer’s consent
    (4). Disclosure is particularly necessary for public health or the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the customer’s consent
    (5). Cooperation is required with a national or local government agency (or its delegate) in performing legally prescribed duties, and obtaining consent would impede such performance
    (6). Personal information is provided due to merger, corporate split, business transfer, or other reasons relating to the succession of the Company’s business
    (7). Personal information is used jointly or entrusted to a third party under a confidentiality agreement with the Company

Article 6 – Entrustment of Personal Information

    The Company may entrust all or part of the personal information obtained from customers to business consignees within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In doing so, the Company will assess the suitability of the consignees, stipulate confidentiality obligations in contracts, and establish a system to ensure that personal information is properly managed.

Article 7 – Disclosure of Personal Information

    At the customer’s request for disclosure or notification of the purpose of use under the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company will, after confirming the requestor’s identity, promptly disclose the requested personal information (or notify the customer if no such information exists). However, this does not apply if the Company is not obligated to disclose under law.

Article 8 – Correction, Addition, and Deletion of Personal Information

    If a customer requests correction, addition, or deletion of personal information (“correction, etc.”) under the Personal Information Protection Act on the grounds that the information is incorrect, the Company will, after confirming the requestor’s identity, conduct an investigation within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use, promptly make the correction, etc. based on the results, and notify the customer. However, this does not apply if the Company is not obligated to make such corrections under law.

Article 9 – Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information

    If a customer requests suspension or deletion of use of personal information (“suspension, etc.”), or suspension of provision of personal information to third parties (“provision suspension”) under the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company will, after confirming the requestor’s identity, promptly carry out the suspension or provision suspension and notify the customer. However, this does not apply if the Company is not obligated to do so under law.

Article 10 – Use of Cookies and Other Technologies

    This Service may use cookies and similar technologies. When a customer accesses the Service, instructions from the Company’s server record identification information on the customer’s device so that the device can be recognized on subsequent access, facilitating login management, traffic analysis, and service improvements.

Article 11 – Use of Google Analytics

    To provide better services, this Service may use Google Analytics.
    Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information that does not identify individuals on its own. The collected information is managed in accordance with Google’s privacy policy.

Article 13 – Procedure for Policy Changes

    The Company may review and improve its handling of personal information in line with changes in laws and regulations, and may amend this Policy accordingly. If amended, the Company will notify customers by posting on its website. However, if customer consent is required by law for certain changes, the Company will obtain such consent by an appropriate method.
